WHO CAN JOIN US ?

Membership of the Union shall be open to all employees engaged in the following sectors :

• Manufacturing, including aerospace, automotive, base metals, chemical, pharmaceutical, bio-science, all form of energy industries, ICT, electrical and electronics, materials, mechanical engineering, pulp and paper, rubber, shipbuilding and shipbreaking, garment, textile, leather and shoes.
• Transportation and storage
• Airline, airport, port, ship/vessel, railway, postal service,
• Information and communication
• Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply
• Lift, escalators, elevators.
• Mining and quarrying
• Agriculture and fishing
• Environment science
• Food and beverage services
• Tourism, hotels, accommodations and restaurants services
• Wholesale and retail trade, repair of motor vehicles and motorcycles

Any person including a retiree may join, or be a member of, or be accepted or retained, as a Union member if he is a workman, except as provided in the rules of the Union.

Any workman who has been dismissed, discharged, or retrenched may be retained as a member subjected to the approval of the Union executive committee.

The union membership shall not contradict the Trade Union Act 1959.
